Quordle is Wordle times four. You solve four secret five-letter words at once, and every guess you type goes on all four boards.
The rules
- You get nine guesses to solve all four words.
- Each board colors your guess on its own: green for the right letter in the right spot, yellow for a letter in the word but in another spot, gray for a letter not in that word.
- Once a board is solved, it stops taking guesses, but the others keep going.
- A new Daily Quordle starts at midnight in your own time zone.
A strategy that works
- Spend two or three guesses on letters. Pick words with five different common letters, and avoid repeating letters you have already tested.
- Solve the easiest board first. The board with the most green tiles is usually one guess away, and solving it costs you nothing on the others.
- Make each guess work twice. When you are unsure on one board, choose a guess that could also be right, or teach you something, on another.
- Watch for repeated letters. Doubles like the two Ls in LEVEL hide well when you only test new letters.
Our daily page suggests two opening words for today, then gives vowel counts, repeated letters, meanings and first letters for every board before the answers.
