How the solver ranks words
Every word that fits your clues is scored by how many of the remaining words share its letters. A high score means the guess tests letters that are common among the words still possible, so it narrows things down fastest. "Likely answers" uses the original list of about 2,300 Wordle answers plus every answer used since. Untick it to include every valid five-letter word.

How do I use the Wordle solver?
Type each green letter in the box for its position, each yellow letter under the position where it turned yellow, and every gray letter in the gray box. The list updates as you type.
Which words are listed first?
Words that can be Wordle answers come first, ranked by how many common letters they would test, so the top words are good next guesses.
What does "used before" mean?
That word has already been a Wordle answer. You can hide those words with the checkbox.
What if a letter is both yellow and gray?
That means the word has that letter, but only as many times as it showed green or yellow. Enter it in both places and the solver handles it.
